D R E A M S T A R
38 Moons | She-cat | Riverclan | Leader
"I wanna hurt you just to hear you screamin' my name."
Torttie she-cat with plush-soft fur and silvery yellow eyes.
''APPEARANCE;;
She is slightly smaller than the average she-cat with a slender and lean body. Her muscles however are easily visible beneath her coat, giving others reason to re-think any previous misconceptions of her strength. She has a pretty little heart-shaped head and broad tentative ears, each sporting a small V-shaped cut near the base.
She has a long and feathery tail able to reach easily around to the backs of her shoulders, giving her superb balance. She also has lean sturdy legs built for climbing and wrestling, armed with thick razor sharp claws better used for blunt attacks or stabbing rather than slicing.
Nova's fur is short but plush, kitten-soft and silky. She takes great pride in her fur, grooming it constantly. The majority of her fur is pitch black, interrupted her and there by swirls of browns, ranging from gray-ish tan to chocolate. One of her most noticeable charistics is her tail; unlike most tortties, her entire tail is colored in swirling chocolate and milky tones without a speck of black. Which stands out easily from the rest of her.
Her eyes are large and round, consisting of a cold yellow surrounding the iris that fades outwards to silver. They usually seem to hold a gleam of childish glee, though things are never as they seem.
''PERSONALITY;;
Dream has a colorful personality, ranging from playful and sweet to sadistic and secretive. She does, however, always behave in a mock-childish manner, despite the fact that she is at least twenty-eight moons old. She has a childlike need to be entertained at all times. Luckily she can be easily amused by small things most of the time, although when she can't find anything else she will usually torment others or find trouble.
She also adores sweet, salty, or metallic-tasting things. Often found licking rocks and honey comb. She is also profoundly curious about all new things.
She can be extremely affectionate, cherishing her friends above all else. There are two types of her affection. The kind she shows most cats, and the kind she shows her friends. To most cats she puts on a playful and loving facade, but its purely for manipulative reasons. Yet to those she cares about she is genuinely caring and loves to be near them and to please them. She would do just about anything to make a loved one happy.
She also is extremely protective of those she cares for, willing to endanger her own life to keep them safe. She would let nothing get between her and helping a friend, and at times this can be one of her most vicious moments. You never want to be the cat that got in her way.
Despite the above, she has also shown signs of sadism and enjoys the suffering of others. She has been known to torture others if she gets the chance, be it physically or even mentally. She has a deep fascination with blood and pain, often studying and making notes as if she was a scientist studying an experiment. Even more dangerous is when Nova's affection can range into possessiveness, eliciting a sadistic response when someone harms those that she cares for. It is rare for this side to show but she can become highly aggressive and animalistic, an will not listen to words until the guilty pays dearly, usually with his or her life.
''HISTORY;;
''KIT LIFE;;
Dreamkit was born to a stunningly beautiful white She-cat named Echowind, known for her sweet personality and charming words. But alas this was nothing but an act. Dreamkit learned quickly of the demon that lurked within her mother. Echowind would bite her suddenly or kick her without warning, always smiling as if her kit's pain and confusion amused her. Once, when the clan had left for a gathering, Echowind had pinned Dreamkit beneath her paw and dug her claws into the squirming kit, causing her to squeak in pain.
"Remember, my dear; life is but a play, and we merely it's actors and actresses. Nothing is as it seems." Those words locked into Dreamkit's memory as her mother painfully bit into each of her ears, leaving her the duel V markings she has to this date.
The rest of her kithood had been equally painful and soon sorrow began to burden her young heart. Why did her mother reject her so? She began to hate seeing other mothers caring for there kits, how where those weak kits any better than her?! Slowly but surely she soon cut away from the cats around her, building a wall as strong as ice around her heart to protect it. She decided the world was a cruel place, and she wanted nothing to do with it!
''APPRENTICE;;
As an apprentice she was free of her mother, though the white warrior always seemed to be stalking on the edges of her daughters vision. Watching her, studying her. Dreampaw was apprenticed to a strong but young tom named Hawkleaf; he was well known in the clan and well liked especially among the she-cats, due to his caring heart and humorous antics. From the very beginning he seemed determined to make Dreampaw laugh, never undeterred when she hissed or told him he acted like a kit. She was just as determined though, never to let anyone in.
As she grew stronger with his training she couldn't help but feel a certain respect for the loving tom. He was gallant and an incredible fighter in battle, yet he was sweet and as playful as a kit at the same time. The combination baffled her and yet, slowly drew her closer. By the time she was 9 moons he had climbed her wall of ice and made it to the other side, he was in. They became especially close, closer than most mentors and apprentices, which grew even stronger as she was made a warrior.
''WARRIOR;;
Hawkleaf taught Dreamstone to open up and she bloomed into a very sociable she-cat. Attracting the attention of most toms in the clan with her charm and vixen-like antics, but alas the only one that held her heart was Hawkleaf. The two were inseparable and a frightening duo on the battlefield, becoming well known for their amazingly fluid movements and smooth co-operation in a fight side by side. Dreamstone was alike his shadow just as much as his companion. But as she grew so did her darker side, she began developing a sadistic mind, sometimes so tempted to torture enemies in battle that she felt as if she was going to lose her mind. But hawkleaf's soothing words always held her in check, as if he was a rope connecting her to sanity. He soon caught the Leader's attention with his unique battle strategy's and orderly thinking and was promoted to deputy when the previous one retired. Dreamstone was ecstatic and tried her hardest to be there for him and help support him. Even the leader joked that it was as if he had two deputies. Dreamstore mirrored her mate's determination and leader skills, easily recognized as the next deputy when Hawkleaf became leader. As she turned 22 moons a surprise awaited the duo, she was heavy with Hawkleaf's kits. There bond strengthened intensely, but a sad fate awaited the both of them.
One day there was a great battle between her clan and another, which Dreamstone refused to be withheld from. Her leader, exasperated, decided she could come but only to help the medicine cat on the sidelines. Which she agreed to despite being nervous about leaving Hawkleaf to fight alone. The battle was much fiercer than anticipated and Dreamstone soon found herself distracted by the injured cats piling up. She was tending to a fallen tom when Hawkleaf's scream of pain stopped her, turning her blood to ice. She spun around to where Hawkleaf had been standing a few moments before. He laid a few tail-lengths away with his back to her in a pool of blood, a ghostly white she-cat standing over him with a sadistic smile. Her mother. Dreamstone let out a cry of pure hatred and fear; Running out onto the battle-field and about to launch onto the traitor when something slammed into her stomach, sending her tumbling into the grass. Intense pain radiated throughout her body as she clutched her swollen belly, crying out in agony. The large tom that had slammed into her stalked closer, his eyes glowing fire-orange.
"Goodbye, daughter." His voice was the last thing she heard.
When she awoke she was confused and in great pain. Then the memories of the battle came and she lept to her feet with a yowl. A tiny mewl of protest came from her nest, and when she looked down her heart nearly stopped. A small tom-kit laid beside her, pawing at the air pathetically as if he could fight off the darkness of his closed eyes. His fur was a silvery white, marked here and there with light gray spots. He looked almost exactly like Hawkleaf.
The thought brought her back to the present with a slap, what had happened to her beloved!? She looked frantically around the den until her eyes settled on his figure nearest the medicine cat's nest. The medicine cat was sitting with him and she raised over despite his look of warning. But even the look didn't prepare her for what she was about to see. Hawkleaf's face was a ragged mess; long claw marks ran from his nearly missing left ear down across his eyes to the right side of his chest, his eyes where closed and she knew if he survived he would never see again. The medicine cat looked up at her and shook his head sadly.
"He has lost his sight, and a bite to his spine has made his hind legs useless....there is little hope."
The words crushed her as she looked back to the mewling kit she had to ask.
"What happened?"
"The impact on your belly made you go into labor early....and it also caused the death of your other two kits. You managed to give birth before you lost consciousness. I am sorry."
Dreamstone silently brought the little kit over to Hawkleaf and laid beside him, pressing the kit against his father's chest. Hawkleaf smiled and hugged the kit tightly with his paw, a weak purr rumbling in his throat.
"I won't leave you, even now. I love you." She whispered, grooming his fur softly. She named the kit in honor of him, Leafkit. She staid by Hawkleaf's side until the very day his fighting ended and his chest slowed to a stop. It was that day that she changed, her rope had been broken.
That day something else changed for her as well. Her leader appeared and asked to speak with her. He told her that her mother was missing and that he and Hawkleaf had spoken and she was to take his place as deputy, which she accepted coolly. She left Leafkit in the care of another queen and took her place beside her leader. But as time passed she became more and more ruthless and cold, taking on an eerie child-like personality. But as her leader became more and more concerned, he suddenly vanished without a trace. Dreamstone took his place as Dreamstar and led the clan into a new era, Dreamstar's era.

''RP EX;;
Shadows. They where everywhere. Behind every tree, underneath every bush; lurking, always lurking. The she-cat weaved low through the undergrowth, her pace never slacking even as the brambles snagged her long dappled coat. Two cold eyes as yellow as the moon peered through the shadows. This was wrong. So wrong. The she-cat's ear twitched slightly, annoyance prickling her skin like ants. He was supposed to be here. Why wasn't he?
She dropped low and stalked out into the moonlit clearing, her eyes flickering at every movement. He it a leaf or the shadow of a branch. They where watching. She knew it!
"You don't scare me! Ghosts!" She meowed into the darkness, manic laughter bubbling up from her chest.
"Your dead! Your all dead! Neither here nor there! You can't touch what you can't see!" Her words seemed gibberish now, as if she had really gone insane. And maybe she had. It was bound to happen eventually. It was like a bird escaping it's cage. Acting sane was to bothersome and why should she? What could her clan do? She was their leader, without her there WAS no clan!
More shadows. A low hiss escaped her lips.
"You can't hide in shadows forever Mama! Papa! You took everything from me!" Her voice changed into a screech.
"I will hunt you down and slaughter you like the rats you are!" It felt good to scream it out. She was almost settled by it. Almost. It still hurt where her heart should be, or maybe it was still there, but she knew there was no warmth there. She had lost everything. Her mate. Her kits. All she had left was Leafsky and Revenge, sweet, sweet revenge.
Her mother would regret the day she birthed Dreamstar.
