F I R E F L Y20 moons | Shecat | Thunderclan | Warrior “You would not believe your eyes if 10 million fireflies lit up the world as I fell asleep. They lit up the open air and leave teardrops everywhere, you think me rude but I would just stand and stare.”
A beautiful white she-cat with a golden face and violet blue eyes.
Appearance; Fur. A strange color for a feline. Her fur is mostly a snowy white. As white as she is she hates getting herself dirty and will be found cleaning herself most of her free time. However she is only MOSTLY white. The area around her face is a golden brown color. This gives her the first name of ‘FIRE’. Her coat is short in length and not as thick as most Thunderclan cats. She is not afraid of water and will often go swimming in the stream. Her pelt doesn’t stay wet for long and so that’s why she doesn’t mind it. However, during leaf-bare times she doesn’t grow much more for a fur coat. She doesn’t like going out during that time but will go out anyway. The fur on her tail is short enough that it’s easy to take care of but long enough that it gets dirty really easily. She got into the habit of keeping her tail high off the ground when she stands.
Body Build. First off, Firefly is quite small for her age. When she became an apprentice to Skyfall she never really grew bigger. When she became a warrior she was only a little bit bigger then when she first started out as an apprentice. Her features grew older and wiser but her body didn’t get bigger. The medicine cat could never figure out why this happened. The issue never really mattered to her because she was one of the fastest runners in the clan with the long legs that she has. She might not be as fast as a Windclan cat but she certainly could out run most Thunderclan warriors. One thing that she cannot do is climb trees. She is terrible at climbing up trees because she could never get the best grip on them and so always slipped back down to the ground.
Other. What else can you expect from a Thunderclan cat? Firefly has crystal violet blue eyes that can gaze right into the soul of another cat. Not in a freaky way, more like in a knowing way. Her tail is long and good for balance. Her legs are long, good for running. Her claws are sharpened every day making them sharper then nettles and if you think about it, you wouldn’t really want those raking across your bare belly.
Personality; Outside. For a beautiful she-cat she has a beautiful personality. You could almost say that she is the light of Thunderclan. To the cats around her she is very open and happy. You might call this bubbly or VERY social. I’ll call this bubbly for now. She can brighten just about anyone’s day even if it’s been a really sad one. She is quite clumsy and ditsy. She trips easily and while she talks, a lot of the time, she doesn’t look at the path that she is following and could easily bump into a tree or a bush. She hates it when other cats are sad and so she will make jokes and give advice and everything else just to make the other cat feel better. She has even been known to trip on purpose, just to make the sad cat at least a LITTLE bit better. We twolegs may consider this she-cat to be ‘Blond’.
When it comes to very serious situations, however, she can lose the silliness and gain a very knowing look on her face. She is a very smart she-cat and can think about strategies and opinions very quickly. She has a very open mind and a very loud voice. She will look at both sides of a situation and consider the answer in her head. When she has figured out her answer she will do anything in her power to make everyone else believe what she does. She doesn’t like to be wrong at all. There is no way you could take that trait away from her. She is a she-cat and of course, most she-cats think that they are always right. It’s the she-cat way. In this mood she can be quite business-like.
You don’t want to get her mad. This doesn’t happen very often but it does happen. If you get her mad you will wish that you were never born. She is not afraid to get into a full on fight for control. This is one of the strange things about her. Most of the time she won’t get into a full on fight but you might find yourself getting into some helped along bad luck from this she-cat after the incident. She loves to play jokes and pranks on cats that piss her off.
You want to go and just mess around or just take a walk ask her. She loves to take time off to just hang out with friends or to just not talk at all. Just because she talks a lot doesn’t mean she can’t be silent. She can make friends with just about anyone. If you’re a loner or ‘Kitty-pet’ that joined the clan, she couldn’t be any less kind then if you were a Thunderclan or even a Riverclan cat. When in a battle or a fight she is fierce. All of the bubbliness goes away placing a very angry look onto her face. She is not afraid of bigger warriors like a Shadowclan cat or a Riverclan cat, but she is VERY afraid of the Windclan warriors.
Inside. Deep in the hundred acre wood where christoph—oh wrong deep. Deep in the heart of Firefly she knows that the silly, clumsy Firefly is all an act to hide the real pain that she feels. She really misses her mother and father and doesn’t know what to do with information that she was given about them. She can’t tell Hollystar about it because she could get in a lot of trouble for having been there in the first place. Even though she goes around making everyone else feel better she always wonders if there is just that one cat that could look at her and tell her that she needs help herself. She wants someone to help her too but she doesn’t know how that could be possible so she doesn’t ever think about the tiny little bit of hope that still wonders around the dark places of her heart. She dreams of a tom that could make her smile for once instead of the other way around.
Truth or Dare. Firefly is very afraid of the Windclan cats because of her small being and their swift ability. Even though she is quite fast she could never outrun a full Windclan warrior. Plus even though they are small she is smaller. They could easily over take her.
Another thing that she fears is the truth of her mother and father’s death or disappearance as most Thunderclan cats would think. She fears the past and so never talks about it and tries not to think about it.
History; Before His-story. On a sweet moonlit night a young brown tom found a beautiful white shecat apprentice watching the moon in a small stream. Both were from Thunderclan and both cared for each other greatly. Mudslide, the noble young tom warrior, had agreed to care for the white apprentice since she was found on the Thunderclan boundaries moons before this moment. However he did not consider himself a father figure nor did the apprentice consider herself to be his daughter of any kind. Of course he was not her mentor and so did not keep too close to the she-cat during any daylight, except to show that he was caring for her and her ‘new mother’. Even though she was young she could still feel the love that he had for her and she knew she had to give her heart back to her rescuer.
Her name was Sonnetpaw. She couldn’t speak and was getting more and more fragile by the moons. No one, not even the Medicine cat could figure out why. They figured it had something to do with the condition of her mother. She never really took any parts in Battles because she was always assigned to stay back in camp and protect it. When it came to border skirmishes she was always pushed aside for protection or knocked out in exhaustion.
She also had a friend that went by the name of Icepaw. He liked her very much and she knew that he liked her but Sonnetpaw didn’t like him back. She didn’t want to hurt him anymore then she already had so she made sure he knew to stay away. He did for rest of their apprentice life.
When it was time for her to become a warrior she asked Hollystar if it was possible that she could be assigned to the nursery. She knew that it wasn’t the normal type of request. She just didn’t feel like she was any use and so maybe if she played with the kits and hunted prey for the kits and mothers, she would feel like she was needed and she would be helpful instead of useless. Of course Hollystar agreed because technically Sonnetpaw wouldn’t really have been very helpful in a battle or anymore border skirmishes. Her name became Sonnetsilence.
About a moon later she herself became pregnant with kits. Of course they were Mudslide’s. Everyone knew that they were together now. They had been keeping it a secret while she was still an apprentice. Now that she was a warrior, they were able to be together freely. To her the pregnancy was long and hard. Since she was so very fragile she couldn’t leave the nursery during this time. Instead of her getting the food for the kits in the nursery she was given food by apprentices and she felt terrible about it.
When her she finally kitted she had two kits. She had a beautiful white shekit and a brown striped tomkit. One that looked like Sonnetsilence and the other looked like Mudslide. However the tomkit died because he was too sick when he was born. The shekit lived and they named her Firekit because of the redish brown fur around her face and the strong determination in her heart.
A moon later Icepaw became a warrior. His new name became Icetooth. On this day things started to get weirder and weirder.
Kithood. Now Firekit grew up by herself in the nursery for the first couple of moons because the last kits that were in there had just become apprentices when Firekit was born. She didn’t mind being alone sometimes though. It was quiet and soothing for her. When she would get bored she would either explore or go and play with one of the apprentices that were around.
The day that Icepaw became Icetooth the new warrior started talking to her and playing around with her. Mudslide and Sonnetsilence noticed this but said nothing about it because it wasn’t a bad thing. It was when Icetooth started to play with Firekit everyday that her parents got worried. They weren’t sure what else the tom was doing but he had made sure that Firekit didn’t tell them everything. In fact Icetooth was training her some battle moves and hunting moves. He didn’t hurt her because she was so little, but he made sure that she was going to be a good warrior before she became an apprentice. When Mudslide saw that Icetooth was sneaking her off in the middle of the night that was when he became enraged. He caught the tom in the middle of the act and yowled it out to the whole camp making it very embarrassing for the new warrior. Why he was doing this Icetooth didn’t tell straight up. He just said that he thought she would make a good warrior if she was taught early.
Icetooth wasn’t banished or anything but he was put on a pretty close watch and He was put on some extra apprentice duties. For awhile Icetooth stopped talking to Firekit all together. But, just for awhile.
Soon it was almost time for Firekit to become an apprentice. Icetooth asked to take on the little she-cat under his wing but -star denied his request and Icetooth became very bitter from that point on. Firekit became the apprentice of a tom named Oakleaf.
Apprenticeship.
As an apprentice Firepaw did her very best to be an apprentice. She was always in a happy mood when she had to work. She loved to do hunting and battle training alike. She was always better at agility then she was at strength. It was a good thing that -star gave her to Oakleaf, because agility was his specialty. She was always trying to have a positive attitude and not let anything that her fellow apprentices said about her. She did have a best friend that went by the name of Fadepaw. He became her best friend when he first became an apprentice about one moon after Firepaw did. They did just about everything together. Training. Hunting. Patrolling. Everything. They would certainly be best friends for as long as they lived. Fadepaw’s mentor just happened to be her father Mudslide, so that made them even closer.
One day, In the middle of her Apprenticeship, Firepaw noticed Mudslide and Sonnetsilence pad out of the camp to go on a small hunting patrol. She didn’t think anything of it until she saw Icetooth follow them out. That worried her. Her father had warned Firepaw about him saying that he was a dangerous tom. She now believed him, so she followed them. When she found them Icetooth had them cornered with a black she-cat next to him. She didn’t know who it was but she figured the adult she-cat wasn’t a clan cat and didn’t have honor. They had her parents cornered and were interrogating them about something that Firepaw didn’t understand. Then Icetooth killed Mudslide with a quick bite to the throat. The other she-cat didn’t do anything and so Firepaw guessed that she was only there for backup. After that Icetooth said something in Sonnetsilence’s ear. She tried to back up but couldn’t against the large tree. So she struggled instead. Firepaw knew that something really bad was happening since her father had just been murdered and her mother was being harassed, but her limbs were too afraid to do anything to help the situation.
After a little while of trying to overcome her Icetooth lashed out at her face and left a large scar on both her eyes. Sonnetsilence struggled wildly because of her now blind eyes. Icetooth seemed to get annoyed by this and his anger got the better of him for her had bit her neck furiously.
Firepaw cried out and ran to her mother and father pushing past Icetooth and the other loner cat. Icetooth said nothing and stared at her in a shocked silence but didn’t interfere. After a little bit of fussing over her parent’s death Icetooth grabbed her and pulled her away from the loner she-cat and her parents. He told her that she better not tell anyone or else she would end up the same way her father and mother did. She also had to do everything that he told her to do.
When she got back to camp she said nothing and went straight to the apprentice’s den. The next day everyone realized that Sonnetsilence and Mudslide were missing. -star guessed that Firepaw knew something about it cause of the way she was acting, however no matter how hard the leader would try the apprentice wouldn’t speak at all about the matter and would just say that she didn’t know why her parents were gone. She would suggest multiple things like maybe they went to live with another clan or they went to live without the pressures of clan life, but the small young she-cat would never say anything about what she had seen happen to her parents. She was too afraid of them.
Warrior.
She became a warrior just recently and so not much had happened. She stays away from Icetooth and wonders about her parents a lot.
