TREESTORM
35 moons | Tom | SkyClan | Deputy
"Everything in the forest has its season. Where one thing falls, another grows. Maybe not what was there before, but something new and wonderful, all the same."
Black and brown tom with dark green eyes.
Appearance: A mix of black and brown. His fur helps him blend in with his territory and makes it easier to catch prey. He fur is long and very hard to take care of. His paws are a rich chocoalty brown and his chest is also chocolaty brown. The rest of his fur is black except for a spot on the back of his neck where there is a white spot there in the shape of a half heart. He has a scar on his paw from a fight he had had when he was really small, at the beginning of his apprenticeship. His paws have a VERY, VERY, VERY light white. It's had to see unless you look really close. Only his sister knows that his paws have VERY, VERY, VERY light white paws. His pelt is glossy and very attractive. Heads turn when he pass by because of how glossy the pelt is. He pretty much looks like a walking four-legged tree.
Persona: He is stubborn and ambitious. He does care for his Clanmates and will do anything to help them, but he really wants to be deputy and then leader of his Clan. He knows that he has to have had an apprentice before he can even BE considered for deputyship. He may look scary, but on the inside he is a caring and gentle cat. He isn't dark-hearted like he pretends to be, but he doesn't like to show his good loving side. He likes to take prey to his sister in the nursury. He is proud that she is expecting kits as if they were his kits! When he is not watching over his sister he is either hunting or on a patrol. He takes as much prey to the Queens as possible so he can be with his sister while she is there. Milkfur has given him a scratch or two because of it. On days that Milkfur wants to be left alone, Treestorm goes and sees how the apprentices are shaping up. He goes to the training hollow and watches the apprentices practice with their mentors. Treestorm wishes for an apprentice of his own so he can take his mind off of his sister and so he can have something to do.
History:
Kit life: Treekit was born to Ashenheart and Flameclaw. His sister was Milkkit and they were the only kits to the two full grown cats. Treekit and Milkkit often got into trouble. They were two of the most troublesome kits within the Clan. Treekit, however, was very protective of Milkkit. The tom always got into mischief while making sure his sister took the lesser of the punishments. They often left the camp without permission and had adventures, pretending to be fox and cat and other games like that. One day Treekit got stuck in a briar bush and was sorely embarrassed when a passing patrol came along and had to help him get unstuck. Treekit was made to care for the Elders for the next two moons. Of course his sister had snuck in from the dirtplace and pretended that she had been trying to make dirt alone and trying to be like the older cats in the Clan. Many moons passed and Treekit was finally made an apprentice.
Apprentice: “From this moment on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Treepaw. Rippleleaf will be your mentor.” Fallenstar said. Treepaw saw that his sister, Milkpaw, was apprenticed to Roseheart. Treepaw begged Rippleleaf if they could practice hunting and fighting skills, but the she-cat had other plans. The two of them went and patrolled the territory. Treepaw needed to learn it so one day he could know it like the back of his own paw. Treepaw was envious of his sister who was to start hunting techniques straight away. Treepaw sighed and did as he was told. Slowly, but surely he began to remember where everything was on SkyClan territory.
Treepaw’s apprentice hood was not one to be a happy one. While Treepaw, Rippleleaf, Venomtail, and Hawkthorn were patrolling one part of their borders they came across the scent of badger. Treepaw had only scented badger once before and he had hoped never to scent one again so soon. The badger appeared out of nowhere, catching the patrol by surprise. Treepaw raced away to safety. When the patrol regrouped they found that Rippleleaf was not with them. The three cats went back and saw that the she-cat had died, her neck snapped like a twig.
That night a vigil was made for the she-cat. Rippleleaf was well known for her courage and her compassion and the entire Clan would miss her charm and grace within the Clan. The next night was a Gathering and Treepaw asked if he could go. His request was granted and he went to get some sleep.
Fallenstar started the Gathering with the devastating news. All four Clans mourned for the she-cat who had been killed by the badger. Before Fallenstar was finished she made sure that Treepaw’s new mentor would be announced for all four Clans to hear. “I have spent time thinking this over and I believe I have made the right choice. Treepaw’s new mentor will be Hawkthorn.” Hawkthorn had been one of the cats that was with Treepaw in the patrol and Treepaw was really happy to have the older tom as his mentor.
Treepaw finished the rest of his apprentice training under Hawkthorn’s guidance and became a great warrior.
Warrior: “From this moment on you shall be known as Treestorm. SkyClan welcomes you as a full member of the Clan.” Fallenstar rasped out. Treestorm’s chest puffed out in pride. His sister had become Milkfur and was already expecting kits. Treestorm and Milkfur knew that they had to sit a silent vigil. The two cats spent their first night as warriors contemplating their futures. The next morning they reported no disturbances in the night except a Queen going to the dirtplace. Treestorm found his nest and gratefully collapsed in it while Milkfur entered the nursery to wait for her kits. At sunhigh Treestorm was woken by his former mentor, Hawkthorn for a patrol. The two cats were joined by two newly named apprentices, Sunpaw and Meadowpaw. The four went and patrolled their borders to find that all was well.
Three turns later Treestorm got a wonderful surprise. Heathersong’s kits were finally old enough to be apprentices and he was to be one of the mentors chosen! Treestorm wondered which kit he would mentor for all three were great kits. Finally the ceremony arrived and Treestorm was paired with the only she-cat of the three. Treestorm’s apprentice was called Gentlepaw. The she-cat was named well for she was gentle and kind to others. Treestorm trained his apprentice long and hard almost to the point of breaking.
At first Gentlepaw had thought that Treestorm was trying to kill her, but when she made her warrior ceremony and saw her first battle she understood that her hard training was actually to ensure that she was a good warrior. Treestorm spent some moons padding after Gentlecloud, but one leafbare Greencough took the pretty she-cat. Treestorm’s heart then hardened and he never looked at another she-cat in that way again. He did not want to lose another one he loved, but that same leafbare, Treestorm’s sister and three of her kits died leaving only Petalkit alone. Treestorm made sure that he would be there for her until she was old enough to be on her own.
Late the next Greenleaf, Petalkit became Petalpaw and was apprenticed to Foxwhisker. Knowing that he had made sure to keep her alive until she became an apprentice made Treestorm proud. Now he turned his attentions elsewhere. The old leader had died and Northstar as leader. Treestorm hoped that he would be chosen as SkyClan deputy even though he had had one apprentice in his lifetime.
Rp Ex: The shone brightly in the sky. A black and brown tom carefully stalked his prey. The scents flooded his entire being at the thought of his Clan eating well that night. Licking his lips the tom creapt forward and finally pounced. The mouse he was stalking tried to escape, but the tom was too quick. In one swift moment the mouse was killed and buried to be gotten later. Continuing on the black and brown tom soon killed two squirrels, another mouse, and a bird. Finally satisfied with his catch t he tom decided to head back to the camp. The tom stopped when he heard his name being called.
"Treestorm! Do you want me to help you take that back?" A soft feminine voice asked.
Treestorm turned to stare as his daughter's sister and smiled, "Sure Petalpaw. You take the mice and a squirrel. I'll take the rest." Together the two cats took the prey back to camp. It looked like the Clan would eat well tonight.
