The first Alice was a gallant red one.
Lynxpaw hissed to himself, shaking his rusty pelt. Brightly tinted eyes glowered at anything to come near young tom-cat. "My clan are weak fools!" He snarled quietly to himself, flexing his claws and tearing at a nearby sage bush, which chased a quail out of hiding. Taking this opportunity to take his anger out on something, the reddish tom attacked the flightless bird, tearing at it's wings before killing it. The warrior code meant nothing to this tom, so he ate the bird, scattering it's bones instead of burying them.
Wielding sword in hand in the wonderland, cutting down all that was in her way...
The red tabby tom was on the boarder now. He sat far enough away that the scent would not carry on this windless day. "That territory will be mine as well when I am leader. All of the territories will be mine one day." Lynxpaw hissed. "And I'll kill anyone in my way. I'll need followers first, though. I can not lead without followers to serve me and enforce my laws."
She was fallowed by a bloody red path.
As Lynxpaw sat, a small breeze began to blow. The tom ran one of his white paws over the large scar on his face and snarled at the memory. "They will pay first." Yes. The warriors who beat him only two moons ago will pay for the horrifying scar on his face. Lynxpaw knew they had done it on purpose. The scar that went from the top right of his face, over his nose, and down to the bottom left was meant to show every cat what he had done. "I have killed one weakling and challenged another." The cat muttered. "And those who stand for the weak will die." As the tom finished muttering this to himself, a voice woke him from his trance. There was no cat visible. "Where are you?" He called, annoyed at being interrupted. "I've heard you muttering, you stupid fur-ball. Come out and introduce yourself." Weather a clan-mate or not, Lynxpaw knew very few cats. The few that he did know stayed away from him. Apart from the one or two apprentice followers of his.

He was studying the border while on a hunting mission when he heard the Maniacal voice of a traitor. He peered from the bushes and saw the red pelted tom whom was stupidly talking out loud about how weak his clan is and how they were going to pay for it. What a stupid tom. If he wanted to be leader and take over all of the clans the best thing to do was to not tell the whole world about it first.
"I bet I'll beat you to it Lynxpaw." He said soft enough to be a murmur but loud enough for the tom to hear. When Lynxpaw demanded Maskpaw to come out and show himself he thought about going against the command to show the tom that he was not yet in control. However, a better plan began growing in his mind and he knew just what he was going to get from this cat. He was going to use the only form of attack necessary. An up front attack.
He padded out of his hiding spot in the bushes and stepped up to face the crazy tom. Maskpaw may be crazy himself but at least he could hide it better then this tom could. He padded up to the border and sat down just close enough to be touching his side of the scent marker. He licked his paw and then gazed into the eyes of the tom in front of him.
"Your never going to get to the top with an attitude like that Lynxpaw. You'll get caught before you could ever do anything and they'll take you down before you get the chance to form your army. Your lucky I'm the one who found you and not someone else from my clan or yours. Your just not being careful enough. Not to mention I'll probably be your biggest threat." Maskpaw bared his teeth in a grinning fashion to show that he was not afraid of Lynxpaw and that he had just opened a challenge against him.

Lynxpaw watched the other tom, coming to sit near the boarder as well. "I am stupid? My clan know of my plan. I openly challenged the leader. This scar is from my unhappy clan-mates." And this was true. Lynxpaw felt no need to hide anything from anyone. He was cruel and blood thirsty and he would stay that way.
"You are my threat?" The tom blinked, laughing at his challanger. "Well then. How about this. We fight. If I loose, I'll fallow you and my fallowers will be yours as well. If you loose, you'll fallow me the same way. Does that sound fair?" The tom's scar caused his smirk to look more like a snarl. "If anyone asks, It was a boarder fight, nothing more."
Lynxpaw waited for Maskpaw's reply, blinking. "Ah. You seem to know my name, but I have not been told yours. Care to let me know it, or do I have to rip that from you as well as your submission to me?" Lynxpaw smirked in an insane way, stepping back so that Madskpaw could come over. "If it's gonna look like a boarder skermish, you need to come over here."

Maskpaw averted his steady gaze to look around the area. He was looking for any sight, sound, or smell that might mean a witness. He didn't want to be identified as the intruder cat. For one Maskpaw was not a stupid cat and would not take lightly to following orders from a cat that he doesn't really have to follow. Especially an apprentice his age from a different clan. He grined enthusiastically at the tom and laughed. "Thats the differece between us Lynxpaw. You let everyone know who you are even if you don't mean to broadcast it. Its your attitude Lynxpaw. Now to tell you the truth I don't even know why your clanmates are afraid of you and haven't gotten rid of you yet. Its not like your strong enough to fight an entire clan by yourself."
This was it. Maskpaw was taunting Lynxpaw to see if he would attack himself instead of Maskpaw having to be the one to get into trouble. If Maskpaw went over to Lynxpaw's side he could easily be turned over to Snowstar and have to deal with shaming his clan. Not that he cared but he didn't want to give himself away just yet.
"I accept your offer of a fair fight, and the reward is perfect. However, I'm not going to be stupid enough to just waltz onto your territory and be the one to have to get into trouble. Oh yeah, btw my name is Maskpaw and you don't know that because I don't broadcast myself everywhere I go. I am more likely to be able to take over the clans. Plus, it will be an epic victory when they find out I'm a traitor. To see the looks on their faces." He grinned an evil grin and a look of pure hatred flashed in Maskpaw's eyes. That look he always knew about but could never control.
Though Lynxpaw couldn't possibly have noticed it right away, Maskpaw was bracing himself for his opponents attack. In his head he went through all of the strategies. If Lynxpaw didn't buy his sharade and take the bait of attacking with anger then Maskpaw had some other ideas. If he did then he already had some fighting moves all lined up. Even though the apprentice was bigger then him. His body and expression stayed calm, taunting the slightly younger apprentice. He wasn't afraid of him. He didn't underestimate him either and knew the tom was capible of great and terrible things, but Maskpaw had at least a moon of training himself as well as with Blazestar. He had confidence.

Lynxpaw blinked. "You're smart, but my clan fear me because I killed a kit at only a few moons old. They know what I can do." The tom paused to think. "But you are right, I can't fight a whole clan alone. It's in that way that my fool-hardy clan are idiots." It was apparent that this cat, Maskpaw, was no fool and that caused Lynxpaw to allow a small amount of respect.
Lynxpaw, however, was no fool either. "It wouldn't surprise my clan for me to be attacking others outside of our boarders." He chuckled, stepping over onto Maskpaw's side. "Better?" The red tabby asked, his muzzle drawn in a cruel smile as he unsheathed his claws. "The looser either falls over three times or cant fight anymore." This was going to be a fun battle with only one rule. "The only thing we can't do to each other is kick up dirt in the other's eyes. There are no rules to this fight otherwise. The code doesn't apply to us, right?" He chuckled once.
It was at that second that Lynxpaw attacked. The tom's lack of a tail made speed attacks hard, but it also meant less to grip or bite. Lynxpaw decided to see just how this tom would react to a completely random attack. The red tab tom didn't take his eyes off of the other's face as he jumped at Maskpaw, attacking where ever he could reach before jumping away. Even without kicking up dirt, this fight wasn't going to be as fair as Maskpaw thought it was.
((ruff. lol. I had no idea what to make Lynx's fighting style like XD. Eh, confidence makes a winner and a lack of such makes a looser. The problem comes when both are too arrogent to back down. lawl))

Maskpaw wasn't surprised when Lynxpaw stepped over to his side. Though when the tom mentioned he had killed another kit while he himself was still a kit Maskpaw widened his eyes in slight shock. How annoying. One that thinks he can walk around and be the king of the world. He's not a fair play even out of battles, to his own littermate. Now Maskpaw was determined to beat this lowlife badger-brain of an apprentice, assuming that kit he had murdered out of cold blood was his littermate. Maskpaw was at least a sensible in allowing his sister to have a life to live before she visited whatever StarClan she believed in.
Maskpaw then grinned and stiffened where he sat as Lynxpaw began to speak about the "Rules of the Game". This was going to be a fun fight, a hard fight, but a fun fight at that. Maskpaw figured that both of them had been practicing to fight on their own and Lynxpaw probably had a few of his own little moves to share with him and Maskpaw will store each and every flick of the Windclan tom's tail and twitch of his paws in his own mind.
When Lynxpaw launched himself, Maskpaw was ready though he was a little shocked at the slow start of the tom despite his loss of tail. He countered Lynxpaw's random attack by reaching up and batting at Lynxpaw's face. However Lynxpaw's hind paw caught onto Maskpaw's pelt as he came down to the ground. Maskpaw flinched away from the tom and hissed. Mostly at himself for not being careful enough.
Maskpaw! Get ahold of yourself! That was a stupid move! It was defensive. Not aggressive. Be aggressive and don't choke!"
With that though it was Maskpaw's turn to attack. He launched himself to jump clear over Lynxpaw. The only problem with this attack was he had to be quick to spin around. or... He landed right next to Lynxpaw and kicked out at his side flank with his back legs.

Lynxpaw smirked at the look of surprise and jumped away from the swings at his face, his hind claws catching Maskpaw's flank. "Were you truely stunned that I had done that to my sibling?" Mouse dung! That question had cost the tail-less tom. Lynxpaw reached up, trying to catch the jumping cat, but the thick-pelted siamese was too fast kicking him in the side and sending him half a fox-length awain. "Strong legs." Lynxpaw huffed, standing quickly.
This time, Lynxpaw chose a more head-on approach. He purposely put his weight into his paws as he ran, making him slower, but more powerful overall. Instead of jumping or rearing to attack when he got close, Lynxpaw waited until he was right infront of the tom before skidding to a halt, aiming to crash hard into Maskpaw. It might cause Lynxpaw a little bit of pain, but it would hurt Maskpaw a bit more.
((So. I'm thinking Lynxpaw looses and keeps his promise, but is always waiting for the right time to surprise attack Maskpaw and take leader ship. He migt even try to start a rebellion in the future...))

Maskpaw saw the move coming. Lynxpaw was coming at him with full force and the fluffy tom had just enough time to shake his head in annoyance before the tail-less tom crashed into him. "Foxdung!" He cried out into the air before quickly collecting himself and racing away.
He jumpped high up into a tree. Maskpaw smiled to himself as he watched from a hidden branch high above Lynxpaw. Without a tail the tom wouldn't be able to climb the tree. Not to mention it would be difficult to find Maskpaw within the shimmering pine needles. He wasn't sure if his opponent had seen him dash up the tree, but even if he did, he was sure that Lynxpaw would believe him to have been spooked into running off.
Rather, Maskpaw wasn't just hiding. He was waiting for the perfect moment to pounce from the branch he was sitting on. But it had to be at the perfect moment.

Lynxpaw's move had cost him. After barreling into Maskpaw, the tail-less tom had rolled into the same tree Maskpaw had leaped up and hit his face, causing the large, un-furred scar to re-open in the more tender areas. There wasn't much blood from it, but it looked kinda freaky. Shaking his head to clear what little of the sticky red fluid was on his face, Lynxpaw looked around surprised that the long moments it had taken to right himself had not been taken advantage of. It seemed that the masked tom had run off and Lynxpaw sat tall for a moment before standing and looking around.
Once the red-and-white tabby tom was sure that he was alone, he turned and began padding back to his side of the boarder. He paused a few paw-steps away as a thought came to his mind. "What a coward. Hah! I have my first follower in him, though." He spoke loudly as to be sure he could be heard. "I should challenge other apprentices as well. I would acquire an army in no time." Lynxpaw hadn't even looked up the tree, as he didn't know that Maskpaw had climbed up it. He expected to be attacked from the ground and it was this badly looked over thought that would cost him the battle.

The figure in the tree smiled dangerously. What Foxdung. Maskpaw thought with triumph. He doesn't even think to look up. only about his so-called victory. The fluffy tom shook his head. This was going to be easier then he thought.
"Think again tail-less wonder!" Maskpaw hissed the moment he pounced from his branch. The spoken words were not loud enough to carry down to Lynxpaw. He might have heard a whisper or a mutter from above, but even so it was too late for the other apprentice to respond. Within seconds Maskpaw was on top of Lynxpaw with unsheathed claws clinging deep into his skin and his mouth at the cat's neck.
Though it was subtle Maskpaw noticed that he had almost lost his footing when he landed on the tom. He wasn't sure if Lynxpaw would realize this, because of the shock that he could be experiencing. Maskpaw, however, sure noticed it and made a note to himself to practice this move from the trees for future fights.
"Who's the follower now Lynxpaw?" He asked in the red cat's ear in a soft whisper. "Your third fall, what a pain. And here I thought I was going to get a challenge from you."
With that comment Maskpaw stepped off of Lynxpaw with his head held high. "Victory my friend! The first of many. Assuming you will keep your end of the bargain. Or do I have to humiliate you once again by jumping at you from a tree when you weren't looking?"

The tom snarled in surprised, trying to roll him off. It didn't work and, now that he was pinned, he relized that his skidding halt had caused his second fall. Being the cat he was, however, Lynxpaw tried to wriggle around it. "I only fell twice, mouse brain. My hitting a tree didn't count cause you didn't cause it." It seemed to lynxpaw to be a valid arguement, but he was annoyed the he had let his arrogance get in his way of being careful.
The thick set tom jumped and bucked and rolled as much as he could to get the masked tom off and finally threw himself at a tree, turning mid-jump so that his back would hit it and not his face again. "I'm not gonna let you beat me as easily as one jump out of a tree." Lynxpaw snarled angrilly.

He was mad. That was what Maskpaw had been waiting for. A weak spot. Lynxpaw hated to loose, and would do anything to make sure he doesn't. How far would he go, Maskpaw wondered. Would he really break his own rules and attack Maskpaw again? The masked tom didn't know Lynxpaw enough yet to understand him that well. But if Maskpaw could figure out who Lynxpaw was and how his personality effects the world around him then maybe Maskpaw could deem him predictable. Not yet though.
"What's the matter Lynxpaw? Can't admit to fail at a fair fight? I'll pull you down one more time to prove the winner if that's what you want." His voice was cold and mocking. This moment was enjoyable to Maskpaw, which was a rare thing. It was actually amusing him to now end.
If I can make Lynxpaw predictable in my mind, then I could properly predict the moment of his attack now, and perhaps a betrayal or two later. The feline thought excitedly.
"What do you say Lynxpaw?" He asked.

Lynxpaw's hackles raised and he let out a furious hiss, but stopped and took a calming breath before smirking at Maskpaw. There was no denying that Lynxpaw was at the disadvantage. The red tom had fallen twice while Maskpaw had only fallen once, but he refused to be beaten. Lynxpaw charged the smaller apprentice, once again giving up what little speed he had.
He zig zaged as much as possible, making sure that his intentions wern't known until the last moment when he turned hard right and spun around to leap at Maskpaw, aiming to both knock him over and deal some hard damage to the softer parts of his side as well as his hind legs which seemed to be the most dangerous part of the masked tom.
"I told you that you wouldn't beat me as easily as one jump out of a tree!" The red tabby tom lept away from Maskpaw, panting. He was working too hard, but this was worth far too much. He couldn't let himself loose.

Slam! And then a burst of pain throughout his entire body. Maskpaw fell to the ground with the breath blown out of him. He couldn't move. Either from shock or from the pain he wasn't sure, but he knew that, before this, he couldn't imagine feeling this much pain until he was in a full out battle. He took breaths in gasps. His heart thudded against his chest dramatically.
But he wasn't beaten yet. Not in a life time would he let a loud, obnoxious apprentice like this one to beat him in a simple skirmish. But he didn't move. His mind began to spin for an answer. What was the best way to finish this tom off? While he thought he didn't move except to take gasps of much needed air. To look and act like he just wasn't up to finish fight. Its a tie. He fell for his last trick. Maybe he could fall for another one. One that he had been practicing on his sister and any other warrior since birth.
Maskpaw tried to stand himself up to finish the fight but he immediately collapsed. His body hurt EVERYWHERE. When Lynxpaw ran into him he felt like the tom had crushed his body and then left him there to die. He would not be left to die.
Maskpaw think of something or you're going to have to do every stupid little thing this ridiculous tom says and that will ruin your reputation! You really don't want that! He doesn't care much about his reputation. Only that he is feared. He coaxed to himself.
But he still didn't move from his spot on the ground.

Lynxpaw landed on his paws a little awkwardly but quickly righted himself, hissing in triumph. His eyes flickered over his fallen enemy. A glimmer of contempt glimmering within. "That makes us even." He meowed with an air of self-absorption. He stalked closer to the tom with an eerie grin, only made more so by his now bleeding scar. "You ready to admit defeat, or are you still looking for a beating?"
His arrogance would be his downfall. Despite the voice in the back of his mind screaming trap, he still charged at the fallen tom without caution. Leaping into the air with his forepaws reaching out in front of him, ready to crush the smaller tom under his weight. What he hadn't noticed, however, was how vulnerable he was at that moment. If the other tom realized Lynxpaw's predicament it would be all over, he could easily be thrown off balance and without a tail to correct himself it could be his undoing. But at the same time even if he did it was unlikely he'd miss Maskpaw completely. It was all in the hands of chance.
