It was almost Sundown when Maskpaw and Sleepingpaw came back into camp from bringing Lightpaw to the border. Sleepingpaw smiled and began walking over to the medicine cat's den. She didn't really know what to think about this whole Starclan missing thing but she was pretty sure the ancient cats weren't non-exsistant.
Maskpaw on the other hand never really believed in the starry cats in the first place. He didn't really care about them. All he really cared about was getting stronger. He didn't know why he felt that way but he did. He was planning something deep in his mind but he wasn't really sure what that was.
As Maskpaw came into the camp he ignored his sister's move to go to the medicine cats den. He instead went to the freshkill pile to get something to eat. The only reason why he went with his sister to the bring Lightpaw to the border was because Blazestar had asked him to go. He could't really refuse the leader's request because he was the leader. The apprentice couldn't really deny that.

Blazestar had indeed asked Maskpaw to accompany Sleepingpaw to take Lightpaw back to her border. For some reason the apprentices had strayed off the path to Riverclan border and went over to the Thunderclan border.Blazestar went to the apprenticeden"Is Maskpaw in here?" He asked into the den.

Maskpaw looked up from his rat the moment Blazestar had spoken. The young apprentice almost groaned out loud. He stopped himself though. He didn't want to make a fuss in front of the clan leader. He himself was the only apprentice whom was present in the den. All of the other apprentices were out training or just being lazy and lying around. What did Blazestar want to do with him?
He finished the bite that he had taken and spoke. "Blazestar, I'm here. What am I needed for? I was just taking a little break after coming back from taking Sleepingpaw and Lightpaw to the border. Did I do something wrong?" Like always the tone of his voice was just perfect. It sounded like he had no idea what was going on, which he didn't, but he just added just that tiny bit of innocence to it.

)(Sure I think it would be an awesome idea!)(
"No of course not I just wanted to make sure you guys got back alright and to ask how it went." Blazestar meowed. Blazestar laughed at his apprentice's reaction to him. Blazestar had heard the almost imperceptible annoyance to his apprentice's voice.

"Oh..." Maskpaw muttered. Then he looked up at Blazestar with a content look on his face. He nodded at his leader and smiled. "It went ohkay. Pretty uneventful. I can't wait until some real action comes." He said.
"Blazestar, Are we going to go train any today?" His voice was hopeful as he completely forgot about his Rat. He really wanted to do some battle training or go out hunting or something. He wanted to learn. He wanted to become the best around. He wanted to be a really strong cat.
"Oh please Blazestar! I know your busy alot because your leader but please can we train some today?"

"Of course we can but you have to finish that rat and let me get something to eat first though then we'll go and train." "ohkay?" Blazestar then went and picked up a medium sized rat from the freshkill pile and went and sat by the entrance to his den to eat. Blazestar was thinking about what to train Maskpaw in today, He knew he hadn't had fighting training in a while so today they were going to learn the move invented by Firestar the courage filled Thunderclan leader. Where you fake dead then jump up knocking your opponent off.

Maskpaw nodded at his mentor and leader as the tom padded out of the apprentice's den and over to the freshkill pile. Maskpaw on the other hand sat down next to his rat and decided on finishing it before going out of the den and over to Blazestar. As he sat and ate his rat he thought about things. Of course he was going to be training battle moves today. They hadn't done anything in that category in a long time. Now that Maskpaw thought about it, he didn't know very many moves yet. Only ones he had learned from some of the other apprentices when they were out training and Maskpaw was watching.
Another thought that came to his head was, What was he going to do with all of this training? Of course he was going to protect his clan from other clans and things like that, but he had this strange feeling that he was going to use his skills for something more. Much much more.
When he was finished with his rat he stood up and padded out of his den. He looked around for a moment and then spotted Blazestar. The Shadowclan leader was still eating but he was also almost done. So Maskpaw made up his mind and padded over to him.
"Almost ready to go Blazestar?" He asked innocently.

Blazestar had just taken his last bite as Maskpaw walked up. "Yes I'm ready meet me at the sandy clearing I have to go do something first." He had noticed some rustling in the bushes outside of the camp when he returned as he went to check it out he wondered if he should have taken some warriors as he smelled a cat. Too late now though as he jumped in the bush to drag out a scrawny she-cat whom had no clan scent so she must be a rogue. He dragged her back to camp and told his warriors to watch over her. He then raced to the sandy clearing to find Maskpaw waiting for him there. "Okay so to make this move work your opponent has to believe you are dead." Blazestar launched himself at his apprentice who was almost bigger than himself he batted him with his paw, claws sheathed of course, then jumped away. All to test him so far.

''M A S K P A W;;
When Blazestar padded into the hallow Maskpaw stood up from his dozing, ready to battle. When he started to talk about what should be done to make this move work Maskpaw listened and he was ready when the leader pounced at him and attacked him. Maskpaw ducked the pounce and countered the swipe with a swipe from his own front paw. What he was going to learn from this move wasn't going to be that big of a deal to him being an apprentice that likes to practice a lot and sometimes even make up his own moves. But any normal apprentice would probably be shaking in their own fur to learn a move like this.
The next attack Maskpaw was going to show his leader just how interested he was in this battle move. It was one of his specialty moves. He loved to pretend that he was dead or unconscious. And Idea started to form in his mind and he watched his leader for another move. Though he decided to throw in a few blows of his own. Using a move that Blazestar had taught him at their last battle training session Maskpaw lowered himself and threw himself at a diagonal angle landing and throwing himself straight at Blazestar himself next. He was going for a move that would throw the leader off balance and allow him to roll off of the older tom and get back up just as quickly. Then he would be able to spin around and swipe at Blazestar while he was still trying to get his balance.

Notes;; If your going to have the rouge really come into the plot then you have to find someone who is going to play her. I have a cat whom might fit that description but I don't know what you have in mind for this cat.
Just as a "let you know," Maskpaw hasn't attacked him yet. You have the right to get hit or to dodge.

Blazestar let himself get hit but not taken off balance because he lowered himself and his center of gravity. So while his apprentice hit him he spun around and used both his back legs to hit him powerfully. He used this hit to spring away and wait for the next move. The only way he dodged that attack was he had seen his apprentice do the move by himself practicing. Blazestar knew that next he was going to use one of his specialty moves. His was he charged forward and once his opponent was braced he changed directions to go right beside them. Then he raked their flank with claws and bolted away.
((No the rogue was just a filler to add length xD))

Maskpaw was flung backward into a nearby tree because of the force Blazestar used to attack him with. He had not been expecting that and Maskpaw hated himself for not doing so. He was a smart cat but obviously he had a lot of work to do. I should have seen that coming! he thought bitterly to himself as he hit the tree. He decided that he would have to go and practice somewhere a little less noticeable. Like a secret training place or something like that.
Because of the impact of the tree Maskpaw winced in pain. His side hurt really bad but it wasn't enough to bring him out of the fight, however he did need a reason to pretend to be "wounded" or "dead". That was the point of this lesson wasn't it? So this was the perfect moment for him to use it. He didn't move and he kept his eyes shut and in an expression of pain. Great Forest his flank really did hurt but he knew that he was going to be alright. He just knew it.
He made the scenario believable enough. He played the part well. It was just a matter of reaction that Blazestar was going to give him. Would he believe his play or would he know that it was planned? Maskpaw would find out and he would play all of his cards just to make this one work.
X-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-X Notes;; There has to be something to it. I'll make a rouge that he could have found and taken into the camp. It shouldn't be just out of no where. :]

Blazestar knew he had hit his apprentice too hard he hoped he hadn't hurt him, but he had gotten too caught up in the moment. He ran over to check out his apprentice. "Maskpaw are you okay? Answer me Maskpaw!"
)(I could make one and have someone else rp it because it would be kind of weird for me to rp it I think. Is that ok?)(

Great Starclan! Did he really just fall for it? Oh well...
|
[/i][/color] He laid there for a moment to give effect and to let himself grab the strength he needed. After a few moments he pushed himself from the tree and lunged himself in between Blazestar's legs ending up behind him. He quickly stood up and pounced onto his leader's back. "Hows that for an attack?" He asked in an amused voice. Then he slipped off and sat down to lick his side. Then he looked up at his mentor. A genuine look of guilt shimmered in his blue eyes. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that Blazestar. Its just that you said that you wanted to teach me to do the move where your opponent thinks you were dead and my plan sort of went from there." He looked down at his paws. Of course the real question was, Is Maskpaw really that sorry? A normal cat would never be able to tell because of his near perfect acting. Though Maskpaw's mind was whirling with annoying thoughts about his mentor. Did Blazestar really just fall for it? Or was he faking. He couldn't be that naive could he? Then he winced slightly. His side was really hurting but he was determined not to tell Blazestar about it. X-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-X Notes;; Like I said. Blazestar was impressed by Maskpaw's surprising attack and he was beaming with pride inside but kept the hurt look on his face. He then pounced at his apprentice like he was going at a piece of prey. His plan was to get his apprentice braced and then suddenly bound over him to get behind him,if this was real at that point he would batter the cat's flanks and back with blows, since it was training he would just batter him with sheathed claws. ((Go ahead and make it then please haha))
